Cherry Balls




Cherry Balls


Ingredients


1 -1/2 cups icing sugar
1 -1/2 cups desicated coconut
1/2 cup cold margarine (NOT butter)
1 teaspoon almond extract
maraschino cherries 
graham crumbs

Directions


  • Mix icing sugar, coconut, margarine and almond extract thoroughly. (It will be kind of goopy/pasty). Can be chilled before use.
  • Wrap and mold approximately a tablespoon of mixture around a cherry, and roll around between palms forming into a ball.
  • Roll the balls in graham crumbs until well coated.
Note: Don't do them one at a time, do all the cherries into balls before you start rolling them in the graham crumbs, or get the kids to help with the crumbs. It is sticky work! But yummy...
