We took it out yesterday and I was driving it, never even been on one before, so was nervous. It is a lot different from driving a car, to me if felt like it was veering to the left and I kept feeling like we where going to fall over! But we didn't, was really wary going down slopes and in big divots in the ground and boy didn't want to go through the water, but I did, we both came back alive! But when I got off the bike my legs where no where to be found, wow! We traveled about 15 klms and thought that was good for a first time. So much open area around Buchans and found one place to fish, will have to go out with some friends and find out the places to go! All in all and good first outing!

New Hobby - ATV
Well for two years now I've been bugging Bill for an ATV, finally he said yes! So we went out and bought an Arctic Cat and it's red, love it!

Juicing Day 17
Well tried a few plant based foods, had a veggie burger last night, even cooked it on the BBQ, right beside the burgers I made for hubby. Dressed it with mustard, ketchup, relish, tomato and it tasted like a burger. Saying that is also saying it's been a long time since I had a real burger, so in my mind it tasted like a burger. But then I rationalized that having some popcorn without anything on it was ok, seeing it was corn a veggie, so I had some and enjoyed it. But I could see the road I was going to go down, it was heading to eating like I did before and feeling bad.
Since I've been juicing I have felt better than I have in a long time, also not worrying about finding food I could eat. So going back to all juicing, made that decision and I think it's a good one.
Made it to day 19 in my juicing journey and decided that would be it. Hoping to juice again in the future, I felt good doing it, but it is really difficult to have the discipline to keep it up. I'm glad I did it and feel it was successful.

Juicing - Day 15
Well I am on day 15 of my juice fast, things going well. Today I went to get my weight and I have lost 20 lbs and my blood pressure is 120/70. My blood pressure has never been that good, the bottom number has never been 70, I remember when the doctor said let's try to get it to 90 and now it is excellent! The doctor said to me this morning keep up the good work!
On the website Reboot with Joe - http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/ They have plans that are not so aggressive as to do the juicing totally, but to integrate some plan based diet along with it.
I do believe I might try this less aggressive way of juicing. I find the need for something more and I figure if I introduce some plant based food in my diet combined with the juicing I might do well. Because I don't want to fall into the trap of wanting something to eat and then going off juicing altogether and feeling I've failed. Will let you know when I start and keep you up to date.
Thanks for the tremendous support I've been getting...Juice on!

Juicing Day 9
Well I am at day 9 of the juicing fast and still feeling good. Cravings, yes I've had cravings, I would kill for a piece of toast, love bread, even a few crackers. The other day I was filling the dogs kongs with peanut butter and boy did I want to put some in my mouth. Last night when I had my herbal tea a cookie would have been nice, but no, I can't ... I'm committed to doing this the right way.
Why reboot? Well the best way to explain is in Joe Cross's words, from his diary of his 8th day he explained what a re-boot does.
“Rebooting” your system helps to eliminate dead and dying cells while encouraging the generation of new ones. Surprisingly, it takes just a day on a Reboot for this process to kick in, since it is within the first twenty-four hours that certain digestive enzymes stop entering the stomach. Instead, other enzymes are released into the intestines and the bloodstream, where they circulate to digest waste and destroy dead, diseased cells without harming the healthy ones. I knew a Reboot would be good for me so now it was just a matter of staying committed to a lifestyle change, not just a quick fix.
Because of the operation on my stomach, there is a lot of food I cannot eat, beef, pork, I can eat small amounts of chicken and turkey, fish doesn't bother me at all. My typical day would consist of cheese bread toast and a coffee for breakfast, a sandwich of turkey, mayo, cheese bread for lunch then for supper I would try to cook my hubby something he would like and I would try to eat some of it, but usually I would get sick and throw up what I ate. At night I might have a bag of chips, never the plain type it would be sour cream and onion, or bacon and sour cream.
So needless to say it wasn't a good diet, and then there was beer, I love beer and I kept gaining weight and the more I gained weight the sadder I got and the way I would reward myself to feel better was drinking beer. Three weeks before I started my reboot I stopped drinking beer and I don't intend to start again.
Looking forward to loosing weight, to be able to go for walks with my dogs, I have three Yorkshire Terriers and they are the sweetest dogs ever. Walking is difficult for me with this weight because I have a hip replacement and a knee replacement so the extra pounds make it difficult to stand for any length of time and walk any distance.
I've been keeping busy making full meals for my hubby, no short cuts, full meals meat, vegetables and potato, not going to skimp because I love to cook and if I can't cook for myself I'll cook for him.
