Why reboot? Well the best way to explain is in Joe Cross's words, from his diary of his 8th day he explained what a re-boot does.
“Rebooting” your system helps to eliminate dead and dying cells while encouraging the generation of new ones. Surprisingly, it takes just a day on a Reboot for this process to kick in, since it is within the first twenty-four hours that certain digestive enzymes stop entering the stomach. Instead, other enzymes are released into the intestines and the bloodstream, where they circulate to digest waste and destroy dead, diseased cells without harming the healthy ones. I knew a Reboot would be good for me so now it was just a matter of staying committed to a lifestyle change, not just a quick fix.
Because of the operation on my stomach, there is a lot of food I cannot eat, beef, pork, I can eat small amounts of chicken and turkey, fish doesn't bother me at all. My typical day would consist of cheese bread toast and a coffee for breakfast, a sandwich of turkey, mayo, cheese bread for lunch then for supper I would try to cook my hubby something he would like and I would try to eat some of it, but usually I would get sick and throw up what I ate. At night I might have a bag of chips, never the plain type it would be sour cream and onion, or bacon and sour cream.
So needless to say it wasn't a good diet, and then there was beer, I love beer and I kept gaining weight and the more I gained weight the sadder I got and the way I would reward myself to feel better was drinking beer. Three weeks before I started my reboot I stopped drinking beer and I don't intend to start again.
Looking forward to loosing weight, to be able to go for walks with my dogs, I have three Yorkshire Terriers and they are the sweetest dogs ever. Walking is difficult for me with this weight because I have a hip replacement and a knee replacement so the extra pounds make it difficult to stand for any length of time and walk any distance.
Here are my sweet dogs, left to right Bella, Rielly and Dakota...
I've been keeping busy making full meals for my hubby, no short cuts, full meals meat, vegetables and potato, not going to skimp because I love to cook and if I can't cook for myself I'll cook for him.
Juice on...
