More Outings on the Quad

Been on the quad a few times now, getting to know the area...the area around town is so beautiful!  This time I remembered to bring a camera!  Went out on my own the last time, but not really, I took Rielly with me, hooked up her booster seat to the back seat and off we went!

Buchans had/have an Air Base, who knew?

 Here are some of the over 60 pictures I took of my day.  The country around here is beautiful, so much of it not touched, Buchans was built surrounding a Mine, well a few mines actually, underground and open pit, so nature has be disturbed but the mines have been closed, the last mine closed in 1984...so a lot has grown over.

There used to be a Air Base here, I didn't know about that, it is about a mile long and has two strips, it's not used now but you could definitely use it if you needed to!
