Well got my juicer yesterday and went and did some shopping to the one grocery store in town. Let me tell you they didn't have much, and some of it was rather poor quality, which is frustrating.
Bought:
- 2 bunches of Celery
- 2 bags of Spinach (they had no Kale, waiting to see if they can order)
- 2 bags of Carrot
- 2 cucumbers (that is all they had)
- 6 green apples (paid $8.14)
- 6 red apples
- 1 bag of small red apples
- 1 bag of small oranges
- 4 pears
My first juice was delicious, really enjoyed it, carrots, lemon and apple. Coconut water for mid-morning break and Joe's Mean Green Juice for lunch (substituted spinach for kale).
Fact, not hungry...thoughts coming, "shouldn't I eat something?", but pass on them, surprising really not hungry.
Went up to the doctors this morning just to get a up to date weight and blood pressure, as the medicine I eventually want to get rid of for lowering blood pressure. Weighed in at 135.4 KG, hate those scales, converted it's 298.5 LB. The got blood pressure checked and it was off the scale, just what I need my first day! On the manual blood pressure meter it was 160/105 not good, so the doctor sent me to have it taken on the automatic meter and it was even better 181/105! So they gave me a pill to lower the pressure and I was to come back in a couple of hours to take it again, it was 186/95, well now another pill. I'm really shook up right now, it's never been that high. I'm going back again tomorrow and they will check again, then determine what they will do. Have to take measurements as well and post them.
Will keep this blog/journal up to date with daily information on my blood pressure, weight and how my juicing journey is progressing.
In case you would like to see the movie that started my journey, Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, here is the link to watch it on YouTube.
