Easter ...

 

During this time of year, I find it very difficult as I know GOD love us, that's a given.  But the part I struggle with is that JESUS had to go through all of this for us.  Us that don't deserve it, us that continue to disappoint HIM, and for those of us who may not believe!

But our GOD is a loving God and He loves us so very much that He sent His SON to earth to live amongst us, be here with us, live with us.  I often think of the people who where here with Him and how they loved Him in the beginning and at the end on Maundy Thursday, gave Him up and on Good Friday called to have Him crucified!  The most deplorable of deaths!

He was innocent of all their charges, He was pure, but He had to be to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins.  He never thought of Himself and what He had to suffer, just offered Himself up for us.

Thank God, He did...for now we are able to have Him in our lives and we will be in paradise with HIM!  Thank you JESUS!

So while everyone is celebrating Easter with cute little bunnies and eggs of chocolate, take time to remember why we celebrate Easter in the first place, for the ultimate sacrifice HE made for all of us! Amen to that!
